Hi, I have very little details about my father's family. He was one of 2 children and he and his sister have both passed away. It's a shame that when he was alive I didn't sit down and get his family tree.
Anyway, my grandmother's name was Maude Alice Sweeney. She married Salve Cappuccio and settled in Woburn, Ma. I know my grandmother had a number of siblings, maybe 7. 2 names were: Frances and Thomas. One sister born to a different father moved away, maybe to Kentucky?
Anyone know these names???

Looking for roots of Alexander Swaney, born 1775 in Kimacrenan, County Donegal, Ireland. He and his brother John and others from Donegal left for America in 1792 or 1793, settled for a while in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania and in 1797 made their way to Cussewago Township, Crawford County, Penna. He married Sarah Anne Harkins, who was also born in Donegal, daughter of Patrick Harkins. Their children were Margaret, Alexander, Morgan, Bridget, Edward H., Theresa, Mary, Nancy, John E., Katie, Sarah A., Hugh.
My direct line is through Elizabeth Swaney (my great-grandmother), her father Edward H. Swaney, his father Alexander. The name was spelled differently on various documents and census records. They were Catholics.
My name is Marcia Sabol and I live in Palm City, Florida.

My name is Matthew Sweeney. Born in UK 29th November 1978 to Mr Joseph
Sweeney and Mrs Susan Sweeney (nee Hayward).
I know very little about my family. My father once told me about castles with
an Irish connection? And that 2 families had intermarried - the McSwans (or
macswans) and the McQueens (or macqueens, mcquains, macquains).
I am in some way connected to Arley Hall near Northwich, Cheshire.
Originally, I am from Northwich and so are my parents. My Grandfather, Joseph
Sweeney was also from Northwich in Cheshire.
I am told stories by my father about Castles and somebody running off with a
servant girl and then being cut out of the family. As I know it I have no
family other than my parents and 2 brothers. If anyone out there knows me.
PLease email me.
My Grandfather: Joseph Sweeney died sometime around 1975 - he was a brickie
in Northwich - served in world war II
My father: Joseph Sweeney Born 28/10/1949
My Mother: Susan J Sweeney (nee Hayward) born 31/12/1950
Thank you
Matt
