A member of the world famous "Dublin City Ramblers", Paddy is a native of Ballyfermot in the heart of Dublin, he is well known throughout the ballad scene, both at home and abroad. He is a great sports fan, an avid "Manchester United" supporter and suffers "A.B.U's". His late father was the famous "Paddy Bones Sweeney" known and loved countrywide. Paddy has played with such bands as "Stout", "The Barleycorn" and had a solo career for a couple of years. He joined the "Ramblers " in 1989. He has one of the best (some say the best) ballad voices in the business and has won several awards abroad. Paddy's hobbies include music, fishing, reading and walking.
