Here is what I know.
My father is William Francis Sweeney, born in Canada to parents-George
Francis Sweeney(born June 26,1900, in Cork county Irerland) and Florence
May Barnes (Born Oct 9,1908 in Oxford, England).
George Fancis Sweeney's Father was Frank Francis Sweeney Of Cork County
Ireland.
I know Frank Francis Sweeney was in Cork county in 1900. He and his wife
Ada(maiden name unknown),and son George Francis, Imigrated to Canada in
1912.
Who can I seek to help me find my Sweeney bloodline from this point back.

My g.grandfather was Eugene McSweeney, born Ireland 1840.Married Catherine
Dempsey moved to London England, had three children, Denis, Julia and
John.Eugene died result of an accident age 38. Always heard we were
related to Terence McSwiney, he came to visit the relatives in London. Any

unknown at present)Died June 14 1912, in New Aberdeen, Cape Breton Nova
Scotia, Canada. He married Ellen Maloney born June 12, 1848, birthplace
unknown?Nova Scotia, died 1913, in New Aberdeen, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia,
Canada.
They had seven children that I can find:

Michael born Sept.28, 1970, married Rebecka(Rebecca)Colter Rines
onFebruary 9, 1898-St.Bernard's Church, Enfield, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Mary E. born 1875
Martin born April 13, 1878(1877?)married Catherine MacIntyre on Nov. 29,
1916 in Lingan, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Richard born Sept.22, 1880,married Mary(Mamie) Maloney from Whitley Bay,
Newfoundland-they moved to Summer St., West Lynn, Mass., USA, and
supposedly had no children.
Anastasia born 1880(app.died young-buried St. Francis Xavier R.C.
Cemetary-Chapel Hill, Maitland, Nova Scotia, Canada.

My question to anyone out their is if any of this info. looks familiar
please get in touch with me.
I am trying to find out how James Sweeney immigrated to Canada from
Ireland. The story passed down thru the family is this: "James had a
argument with his father and punch him in the face, his father fell down
an embankment and thinking he killed his father, is said to have hopped on
a ship that very day. We were also told that he went to the USA
(Boston)first and then came to Nova Scotia-but we have no knowledge of
this."
I would like to know if he had any brothers or sisters and his parents
names.
Some of the above generation are living in New York State, Boston area,
Florida, Canadian Provinces of Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, New Brunswick and
Nova Scotia.

Hello, my grandfater's name was
Albert Thomas Sweeney, he had a
brother named William and at least
5 sisters Ethal, Lenna, Maryetta
Irene. He was born in Rehoboth,
Massachusettes USA. He married my grandmother Edith Noones and
had 10 children. If anyone knows of any information prior to this I would
appreciate it if you could pass this along.
